Our Historic Chambers

Step into the beauty of
Victorian Charm

Step into the past, where every room of The Starrett House is a beautifully preserved chapter of history. Our Victorian-inspired furnishings have been meticulously selected to transport you to a bygone era of unparalleled grace and sophistication.

Imagine retiring to rooms adorned with:

  • Intricately carved wooden furniture

  • Delicate lace curtains filtering the morning light

  • Plush velvet upholstery inviting you to rest

Every detail—from the ornate lamps casting a warm glow to the antique mirrors reflecting the room’s splendor—has been carefully chosen to reflect the rich history of this 1889 estate. We ensure your stay is as much a journey into history as it is a retreat into comfort.

As an historically preserved home built in 1889, The Starrett House retains the authentic architectural character of its time, which includes the absence of modern insulation or noise reduction.

Embrace the charm of this genuine historical experience: while you will enjoy unmatched period elegance, please be aware that the tranquil sounds of other guests in nearby rooms may occasionally be heard. This is part of the unique, intimate character of staying in a true Victorian mansion.

At The Starrett House, each room is thoughtfully named to reflect the original intent behind its design, honoring the history and character of this charming Victorian home. This tradition allows guests to experience the unique spirit of the house, each room telling its own story while maintaining a sense of timeless elegance.
