What to Expect:
Friends of the Starrett House support Bayside in many ways. Some lend a hand directly; helping with furniture placement, gardening, event set-up, or even labeling teas for sale. Others share their experience and expertise, promote Starrett House events, raise funds and in-kind donations, and build connections with partner organizations. Whether hands-on or behind the scenes, every effort helps preserve the house and strengthens its role in the community.
With the purchase of Starrett House in 2023, Bayside Housing & Services created goals, such as finding out how to best manage the property to best benefit Bayside's Mission. Bayside is converting the basement into three affordable housing units for their residents, maintaining the main floor for high teas, meetings, weddings, and other special events.
