A Very Victorian Valentine Tea

February 14th
12 - 1:30 PM

Step back in time to an era of whispered devotions and architectural wonders. We invite you to a Very Victorian Valentine Tea at the historic Starrett House—a "Grand Dame" of Port Townsend, built in 1889 as a monument of pure, unadulterated love from George Starrett to his beloved Ann.

An Afternoon of Romance and Artistry
Within the sun-drenched parlor, where the very walls echo with a century of romance, we will gather to celebrate the season of the heart. As the steam rises from fine bone china and the scent of rosewater fills the air, you will be transported to a time when affection was an art form.

The Token of Your Affection: The Puzzle Purse
In the spirit of Victorian courtship, each guest will receive a Victorian Puzzle Purse.
More than a mere card, the puzzle purse is an intricate masterpiece of paper-folding—a secret geometry of hidden flaps and nested messages.

You will be invited to:
Inscribe your own poetic verses within the hidden heart of the paper.
Unfold a tradition that allowed lovers to share their deepest sentiments in a beautiful, tactile riddle.
